Today I spent most of the day trying to create and customize this blog. Why? So, some day my boys will have more than just faded memories.
I also spent part of the day reading Austin's CaringBridge page. It amazes me at all our family has endured the last few years. And, while it still can put a lump in my throat and pain in my chest to think of everything that my entire family and extended family have gone through, I have so much to be grateful for as well. I have a husband who is amazingly good to me (and for those who know me, you know this is no easy task since I have some seriously high expectations) and three beautiful, energetic boys who bring me much love, laughter and craziness, but who I couldn't imagine life without.
And, friends who astonish and inspire me often. From the ones who have 'stuck' with us since 'the beginning,' the ones we met when we were re-located to Colorado to the ones we met when we moved back to Omaha and especially those who have given us strength and encouragement after learning of Austin's deafness. So many people have left lasting imprints in our lives and we are amazed by each and every one of them!
So, through creating this blog today, I have reflected on many aspects of life as a Luther and while I always feel that I could strive to do and be more, I take away some way of doing that from each person I have in my life. I hope you all know that I love you and thank God for taking us down a path that has brought you in to our lives. I am feeling like one pretty lucky mama on this 2010 Mother's Day!
So, if you are joining us on our journey, welcome ... And, fasten your seatbelts because it's sure to be quite a ride!
